About

One designer who also ships the code.

Mykhailo Yurchenko at a design conference

I’m Mykhailo Yurchenko, a product designer based in Warsaw. I’ve worked in UX/UI and design systems for more than seven years, on web, mobile, ERP and CRM products.

I designed a six-module ERP from scratch, then turned its mockups into a coded design system: 60 React components, 242 tokens and about 480 Storybook stories. Stonepath is how I offer that same approach to other teams: design, then components and sites in code.

The code is AI-assisted. I decide what gets built, direct the tools and review every change, and I test the result in a real browser.

Before design

Years on stage taught me how people behave.

From 2011 to 2020 I worked as a theatre and film actor. It gave me a working feel for empathy, for reading people and for speaking clearly, and it shapes how I run user interview and design review.

I wrote about changing careers in Your previous experience is not excess baggage.

How I work

Four habits behind every project.

Start from the user

Interviews, flows and prototypes first. Screens come after the problem is clear.

Tokens before pixels

Colour, type and spacing live as variables in Figma and as tokens in code, so they never drift.

Check in a real browser

Every build is tested at desktop, tablet and phone widths before I call it done.

Say what’s unknown

If I don’t know something, or a number isn’t confirmed, it doesn’t go on the page.
